We acquired our first two Malamutes in 1992, BIS Am/Can/Int
Champion Tonoya’s Sir Lancelot’s Niko and BISS Am/Can
Champion Tonoya’s Sir Galahad’s Tuktu, CD. Of course they
didn’t start out with those accomplishments. They were
diligently worked and planned for. We got the boys as
puppies from my Mom, Jaquie Wilson, Tonoya Kennels.
This was her first litter and we just couldn't resist these
darling little balls of fur. We went
to our first match when the boys were small and I was
hooked. I wanted to try my hand at showing, but Dave
said that he would help me train, but that he wasn't really
keen to go in the ring . We started going to
classes, both obedience and conformation. We have always
worked our dogs in harness and have attended sledding boot
camps. With practice and perseverance the rest, as they
say, is history. Currently we have 11 dogs at home and are
very involved in showing and working our dogs in harness.
Litters at Mytuk are seldom, as we believe in only producing
when we want something to go on with. We hope that you
enjoy your visit to our website!
